Analyzing a Speech

        I attended a message or speech from a pastor, and he dove into the mentality of being “All In For Christ.” He began by pointing out the difference between merely professing allegiance to Christ and having a true commitment to Christ that is evident in one’s daily life. He used verses from James 4, and he highlighted the many dangers of having divided allegiances when in relationship of following Jesus and being trapped in worldly desires. The central idea of the message was built around the necessity of complete and radical devotion to Jesus Christ, and called believers and followers of Jesus to be all in or completely committed to their relationship with Him.
